I’ve been an independent knitting designer for over 15 years, and in 2017 I was over the moon when I landed a job as the editor of a knitting magazine. But in 2019 my magazine editor job abruptly ended, and I was lost without the structure of external deadlines.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How does the membership work?
A: When you sign up for the membership you will be charged today for your first month and then again on a recurring basis. Your membership will immediately be active and you can join the next available coworking or planning/review session.
Q: What do I need to be able to participate?
A: You just need to be able to access the meetings via zoom. Some folks like to run zoom on a phone or tablet so they can keep their computer screen free for working.
Q: What if I need to join late or leave early?
A: We admit folks into the zoom room throughout the whole session, so it’s never a problem to join late. And if you need to leave early of course you can!
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your membership will be good until the end of your billing period.
Q: When do the meetings take place?
A: Planning is Mondays at 9:30 AM EST with reviews on Friday at the same time. The coworking sessions run Monday through Thursdays from 10 AM to Noon EST and 2:30-4:30 PM EST. Schedule can change due to holidays, but will include 60+ hours every month.
Q: What is the pomodoro method?
A: It’s the timer method we use during coworking sessions to keep us on track. It’s 25 minutes of focused work, followed by a 5 minute break to regroup and get ready for the next session. We do this four times during each 2-hour session.
Q: Is this just for women/girls?
A: Absolutely not! This is for any business owner who is looking for a group of creative like-minded folks to work with. Full disclosure though – so far it’s an all girls club because um, well I’m a girl. And my friends and colleagues that I’m working with so far are all women. I will stress that we are a very inclusive group and that we have a firm zero tolerance policy for any hate speech or personal attacks.
